Thames View, Berkshire

This commission involved working with a Grade II Listed Building sited on a main shopping street in Windsor Town Centre Conservation Area, and overlooking the Castle.

Operating for many years as a retail unit at ground level, with remaining floors used for storage, the brief was to rationalise the shop space, and transform the other floors into a self contained residential unit.

Planning and Listed Building Consent was granted for a partial change of use and a four storey rear extension, incorporating an additional glazed staircase with horizontal timber fins for partial privacy.

The approved scheme ensures the stunning views across to the Thames, playing fields and Eton College can at last be realised.
