Barley Cottage, Henley, Oxon

Hidden away down a private road, Barley Cottage is nestled away in the corner of a barley field, with far reaching views to mature woodland beyond.

The cottage had been uncared for and left for many years, so the brief was to restore and rennovate – simply bringing it back to life, to be enjoyed once again. The property was completely stripped out, services updated, walls removed to simplify the layout, and new openings/windows to further indulge in the views – a cottage feel to be retained. Following the structural work Barley Cottage was redecorated with all joinery items added back in oak.

A new kitchen, bathroom, flooring and built-in furniture completed the project. The gardens were landscaped with minimal estate fencing and gates to the boundary perimeter, enabling the beautiful outlook to be continually appreciated.

Barley Cotttage has undergone a complete transformation, and can now be lived in for many further years to come.
