David Herbert Architects Windsor

2-4 Sheet Street, Windsor, Berkshire

Located in central Windsor, Berkshire this project involved a complete refurbishment of an existing office building, which had been neglected for many years.

Following its acquisition the Clients brief was to create provision for an estate agency at ground level and up to date office space on the remaining three floors.

Each floor had to be completely stripped out, with all existing services updated, redecorated with joinery items replaced, new suspended ceilings installed, new raised floors and carpets, and built in office storage. The existing staircase was taken back to the bare bones, with new stainless steel handrails and detailing added back to help modernise the building.

The basement was reworked to incorporate a casual meeting room, and a relaxed drinking/eating area for employees.

On completion, the building was once again fit for use, however in its new life offering a more modern and flexible approach.
